Jornal “O Concelho de Proença-a-Nova” (JPN) – Ser medica sempre foi um sonho?
Filomena Gago (FG) – Sempre! Quando acabei de estudar no 12º ano aquilo que achava que gostava muito era medicina. E como tive a oportunidade de entrar, naquela altura não era as notas que estão agora, entrei em medicina e segui o curso.
JPN – Tendo a experiência que tem aqui no interior do país, como é que olha para a evolução do estado da saúde nestes territórios desde o início da sua carreira até aos dias de hoje?
FG – Por estarmos no interior no início, enquanto médicos, tínhamos mais dificuldades no acesso a formações. Já os meios de diagnóstico na altura também eram mais difíceis. Nós aqui não tínhamos meios de diagnóstico presentes. O nosso centro de saúde não tinha análises, não tinha RX e, portanto, a nossa medicina era empírica. O presente está igual. Eu penso que o nosso centro de saúde aqui falha em não ter meios de diagnóstico rápidos para ver um doente que vai às urgências. Temos que estudar o doente empiricamente com os nossos conhecimentos, mas precisamos de meios de diagnósticos cada vez mais actualizados.
JPN – Acha então que há um desinvestimento na saúde do interior?
FG – Sim, há muito. Nós devíamos ter aqui pelo menos umas análises e um RX que não temos. E nos tempos actuais isto deveria ser uma coisa obrigatória.
JPN – Se o presente está semelhante ao passado como é que prevê o futuro?
FG –Não sei se prevejo grande futuro para já. Nós agora temos as tecnologias que por um lado é bom porque temos mais acesso à informação, mas não prevejo dentro de pouco tempo termos uma melhoria. Nós para termos a avaliação rápida de um doente só mandando para um hospital distrital (Castelo Branco) que fica a 50km.
JPN – O serviço de 24h seria importante?
FG – Para termos um serviço de 24h precisávamos de ter esses meios de diagnóstico.
JPN- Que diagnóstico faz a este tempo de pandemia que estamos a viver?
FG – É difícil dizer! Agora vai surgir as gripes juntamente com a pandemia e vai ser difícil diferenciar uma da outra. Temos que aguardar para ver se a pandemia vai aumentar muito ou se vai haver mais confusão nos diagnósticos e a vacina provavelmente só no próximo ano.
PJN – Vai continuar ligada a medicina?
FG- Neste momento vou ficar dois ou três meses parada. Depois nós aqui no interior também não temos muita facilidade em continuar a medicina. Eu tinha um consultório em casa com o meu marido, ele também era médico, mas não é possível ter consultório, as condicionantes são muito complicadas. Se tivesse o consultório com certeza que iria continuar. Mas vou pensar na questão do voluntariado.
JPN – Se a chamarem para voltar numa situação de emergência, como muitas vezes acontece, volta?
FG – Se necessitarem estou aberta a ajudar e a estar presente. Até ajudar o Centro de Saúde se houver necessidades.
JPN- Que mensagem gostaria de deixar a todos os proencenses e em especial aos seus utentes?
FG- Deixo uma palavra de apreço a todos. Senti-me sempre feliz e realizada em Proença-a-Nova e agradeço a confiança dos meus doentes.
“Em Agosto estávamos 6 e agora estamos 4. Destes 4 o Dr. Paisana não faz urgência. Temos para o serviço de atendimento complementar 3 médicos. Há 2 vagas para suprir as vagas deixadas pela Drª Alice e pela Drª Filomena” explicou ao nosso jornal Jorge Alves, médico coordenador do Centro de Saúde de Proença-a-Nova. A juntar a estas duas baixas Jorge Alves explicou que “houve uma natural pretensão de quem está de melhorar a sua situação” e desta forma “a Drª Joana que estava a fazer duas extensões de saúde, em S. Pedro do Esteval e em Peral, mostrou interesse em vir para a sede. Uma vez que ficaram perto de 1700 utentes sem médico de família ela virá ocupar aqui um lugar na sede, deixando depois S. Pedro e Peral.”
Esta é uma situação que preocupa do coordenador local:
“Se não chegar ninguém não sei como vamos fazer porque não é fácil as três pessoas que aqui estão, o Dr. Paisana não faz mais que os 1500 que tem, resolver o problema de mais de 2 mil pessoas. É completamente incomportável. Mas quem tem de tomar depois este tipo de decisões é a ULS de Castelo Branco”.
Apesar desta falta o coordenador do Centro de Saúde de Proença-a-Nova afirma que “há 35 anos, que nunca houve falta de médicos de família. Nós sempre cumprimos com o concelho”.
